Every month, Tor posts stories on their website along with excerpts from novels, comics, and articles. They are free so I recommend you check them out. Each new story will be reviewed separately. This was posted on August 07, 2013.

"Cayos in the Stream" by Harry Turtledove -+- In real life, Ernest Hemingway took his boat, the Pilar, around the coast and cayos (islands) of Cuba hunting Nazi U-Boats. In this story, he finds one and takes it out.

It doesn’t make him any better a person and (it seems) his third wife, Martha, leaves him even earlier than in real life. Written in the second person where the "you" is Hemingway, this was an interesting look at the kind of man he might have been.

The story is available at the Tor.com website, use the link at the top of this review.
