Here's the 55th issue of Nightmare Magazine, with stories by Eric Shaller. Premee Mohamed, Jenn Grunigen, and Molly Tanzer, the latest installment of a regular monthly feature, "The H Word: Powerful Visions of Suffering and Humanity" by John Langan, and an interview with Stephen Graham Jones by Lisa Morton.

Here's the 55th issue of Nightmare Magazine, with two original stories. You can find the issue and how to pay (or not) for it at their website (see link at the top of this review). Here are my reviews of the two new stories in this issue.

The first original story is "Red Hood" by Eric Shaller. -+- Yes, of course, a re-telling of "Little Red Riding Hood". Here the red of her hood is from the blood of the Risen, who sound like zombies. The versions of Grandma and the Wolf are truly bizarre. Very entertaining.

The second original story is "Figs, Detached" by Jenn Grunigen. -+- We are told this is written in mythpunk style. Lots of crudities and a guy named Lacticifer who gets pregnant but not much story at all.

That's the current issue of Nightmare Magazine. You can access the stories for free. Check out their website and support them, if you want to, in some way.
