Flash Fiction Online for January 2018 has new stories by Holly Collingswood, Kaely Horton, and Rebecca Mix, and a reprint story by Krystal Claxton.

Flash Fiction Online is a website with very short stories, updated every month. These are reviews for the new stories in their January 2018 issue.

The first new story is "The Solid Years of My Life" by Holly Collingwood. -+- Our narrator is the first human to be cryogenically frozen. It's supposed to be for just 300 days. Something goes wrong. Amusing.

The second new story is "Rachel Unerased" by Kaely Horton. -+- Our narrator is communicating with her grandmother and finally telling her about the most important person in her life. Poignant.

The third new story is "Mother's Rules for a Burned Girl" by Rebecca Mix (this is her first published story). -+- Rona has always followed the rules of Mother Judith. When a dragon consumes the town, she changes. A very promising debut.

By the time you read this, next month's issue might be up, but this month's Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and make a donation to their website (see link at the top of this review) is you wish.
