Moonstruck deserves better than the cover that Baen came up with for this novel of near future first contact. Like one of my favorites, Greg Costikyan's First Contract, though not quite as funny: we meet the aliens, and they are well, like us. Not what they look like, but in how they act - deceptive, manipulative, and out for themselves. This is a terrific book by an emerging talent. I sincerely hope that this is the first part of a longer series...and that the next book comes soon.
