The Dark Crusade, Walter Hunt's fourth and purported final entry to his Dark Wing Universe saga is, as were its predecessors, a scorcher. Once more the author immediately pulls the reader into the fray. The human Solar Empire and their allies the Zor have been drawn into a prolonged death match with the formidable Vuhl. Once again powerful armadas of dissimilar races are locked in combat that seemingly can only end when one or both contenders are dealt a death blow. This time however in the midst of war Human and Zor are divided by an upstart organization known as Blazing Star. Also the mysterious Captain Stone and the even more sinister Flashing Colors he seems to answer to, first introduced in the Dark Wing are back in the thick of it as well.
