I had an interesting disagreement over this book with my collegue Sandy Auden, who writes for The Alien Online. In short, she liked it - I didn't (see my October 2004 review), and both of us know what we're talking about! It proved to me once again how subjective this reviewing lark truly is. The moral of the story is, I suppose, don't take either of our words for it. Instead go out and buy this newly released mass market paperback edition and judge for yourself.
