What's With All The Doom And Gloom?
by Ernest LilleySFRevu ISBN/ITEM#: EL0805 Date: September 2005 / Show Article / From official release/information: Every party needs a pooper, that's why we invited you. Or why is SF so determined to predict the failure of the status quo, and why are they so consistently wrong about the end of the world as we know it? I'm not talking about why we don't have flying cars here. I'm talking about how things have a remarkable ability to remain the same, which SF just plain misses. Maybe it's just wishful thinking by a bunch of folks who feel marginalized by mainstream culture. If that culture fails, maybe the geeks shall inherit the earth. A tired, storm ravaged, heat and garbage polluted Earth, but with us at the top of the heap. (Source: SFRevu)
