Joss Whedon's Firefly comes to the big screen. Capt. Mal Reynolds and his crew were on the losing side of an interplanetary civil war. Now they make a living as petty criminals and smugglers, but find their precarious existence made more so when they take a doctor and his withdrawn sister aboard. Pursued by enemy forces, they must find out why everyone wants the young woman.
