Patricia McKillip entered the world of fantasy in 1973 with young adult novel The Throme of the Erril of Sherill and won the first World Fantasy Award with The Forgotten Beasts of Eld, but made her mark with the Riddle-Master of Hed trilogy in 1976. Her most recent releases include Od Magic (2005), Alphabet of Thorn (2004) and In the Forests of Serre (2003). This fall sees the publication of Harrowing of the Dragon, a collection of 15 short stories covering two decades of Ms. McKillip's extraordinary career.
