From official release/information:

Steven Cash's Time Dancers, Book Two of The Meq, continues the story begun in The Meq (which details the origins, history, and progress of this race of immortals) of the Meq boy-man Zianno Zezen (Z), his Meq allies, and his Giza (human) protectors. The Meq seek to fulfill their destiny and achieve the Remembering, but must counter the efforts of several of their own to stop them. When Meq reach the age of twelve, they remain that way until they choose to marry their destined mate and become mortal. They cannot produce children until they complete this rite. The Meq claim the Pyrenees as their ancestral home and have a symbiotic relationship with five tribes of the Basque.
