In the far distant future, war rages between the Alliance and the Syndicated worlds or Syndics as they are commonly called. The leaders of the Syndic are diabolical despots that make Hitler look like a pussy cat. They have no compassion to Alliance civilians or soldiers and those they don't kill, they put into slave labor camps. The Alliance believes that victory is in their grasp when a traitor hands over to them the key to the Syndic hypernet leading to the Alliance fleet traveling there in a surprise attack them will assure them a victory in the centuries old war.
