Elizabeth Bear has been making quite a name for herself lately. This collection of short stories is her fifth book in just two years. While it is from the small press, the major publishers are not doing many single author collections these days, especially not for a brand new author. The strongest points in this collection are the images and writing style, more than the plotting or action. Not every story is a winner, but a very high percentage are.
