In Changeling, Delia Sherman has given us a spunky heroine in Neef, who is the changeling of Central Park Central. She's known all along that she was taken from her family to be the changeling. Her Fairy Godmother, a beautiful white rat, Astris believes in being honest. Astris, a very learned folklorist and storyteller, has been educating Neef to survive within the park. Pooka, Neef's Fairy Godfather, while a bit unpredictable is also responsible for Neef's education. But Neef is growing up and humans are known for their curiosity and breaking the rules can have dire consequences.
