MellingReview by Gayle Surrette Amulet Books Paperback ISBN/ITEM#: 0810992140 Date: 01 May, 2006 List Price $7.95 Amazon US / Amazon UK / Show Article / From official release/information: The Hunter's Moon is the first of the The Chronicles of Faerie by O.R. Melling. Gwen (Gwenhyvar) Woods and her cousin Findabhair have just turned sixteen and as soon as Gwen arrives in Ireland for the summer, the girls are going on a road trip. Well, it's a backpacking trip to see the historic sites of Ireland but their real goal is to find the way into Faerie. Then in the beginning of their travels, they break into the grounds and sleep on the Grave Mound of the Hostages. During the night Findabhair is taken and Gwen is left shaken and afraid for her cousin. Gwen must find and rescue Findabhair before she becomes the sacrifice. All well and good to have a quest adventure but the only advice Gwen has to go on is "if you're betwixt and between, trust the one with red hair" and not to eat the faerie food. To say Gwen has trouble taking advice is an understatement. (Source: Amulet Books)
