Beginning where we left off in The Priest of Blood, The Lady of Serpents continues the tale of Aleric Attheffelde or Falconer. Each night he tells a part of his life story to archeologist Natalia Waterhouse, who resembles Alienora de Whithors and is from her genetic line. Alienora was last seen sealing Aleric into a specially constructed deep well that he and his companion Ewen could not escape even with their vampiric powers.
