The Night Stalker - (SciFi Fridays 8PM)
by Daniel Sackheim (Executive Producer)Review by Ernest Lilley SciFi Channel Media ISBN/ITEM#: B000EOTV98 Date: 9/29/05 ABC - 7/28/06 SFC List Price $29.99 Amazon US / Amazon UK / Show Article / From official release/information: "Don't look now, baby, but Kolchak's coming back in style. " Carl Kolchak in The Nightstalker, 1972. It shouldn't be surprising that Carl Kolchak, aka "The Night Stalker" is hard to kill off, even as a series. After all, he's been dealing with undead and unkillable foes since his humble beginning in the seventies. But when ABC resurrected him with a fresh coat of paint for the new millennium last fall, they found, like so many editors found with the original newspaperman, that the public wasn't ready for him. So they pulled the plug after only six episodes. Which was perfect for the SciFi channel, which has shown a real talent for picking up series that other networks couldn't make work. This summer they're running the pilot and all nine episodes, and who knows...maybe Carl will rise from the grave again...if it can find an audience that appreciates him. And isn't afraid of the dark. (note: if you can't wait for all the episodes to air, you can pick up the full series on DVD. List price is $29.99, but we're seeing it go for considerably less) (Source: SciFi Channel)
