by Lawrence M. SchoenReview by Paul Haggerty SRM Publisher Ltd. chapbook ISBN/ITEM#: 0977663930 Date: August 2006 List Price $10.00 Amazon US / Amazon UK / Show Article / From official release/information: Buffalogenesis is a chapbook, labeled the second volume in the Tales of The Amazing Conroy. Conroy is a hypnotist who plies the spaceways to amaze and delight and, of course, to make a buck. Finally returning to Earth to pay off a debt to a large Russian man who wants to tear Conroy's arms off, Conroy is in possession of a buffalito named Reggie. A buffalito is an alien omnivore that looks like a miniature buffalo. They're highly prized by terraformers because they can eat just about anything and fart oxygen. And their breeding is highly controlled to make them very expensive. To all involved, Conroy is simply on a courier job to deliver Reggie to the Wada Consortium for a nice profit of half a million credits. But unknown to either Wada or the original owners, Conroy has also smuggled out a second buffalito by the name of Carla. And Carla comes with a bonus; her brief association with Reggie has made her the only pregnant buffalito ever to leave the homeworld. Her value just became astronomical, but only if he can keep her.
