From official release/information:

If you've been following Ky Vatta's career since the first novel, Trading in Danger, when she got kicked out of the Slotter's Key system military academy and took refuge working in her family's interstellar trading company, all you really need to know is that the next book in the saga is out, and it's as gripping and full of space war and skulduggery as the previous ones. If you haven't, you could start here, but assuming you're a fan of Elizabeth Moon's writing, or classic tales like Andre Norton's Solar Queen stories and Heinlein's Citizen of the Galaxy, you should really just go back and start at the beginning for maximum enjoyment. You might as well get all the books though, and put aside a few days where you're not going to get anything useful done, because once you sign on with Ky Vatta, you'll want to stay with her until the last pirate has been wiped out, Vatta Ltd, is restored to it's pre-ambush strength, and somebody makes her an Admiral for her trouble. All of which is bound to happen, and we're making good headway towards it.
