Philcon 2006
Review by Ernest Lilley
Date: Nov 17-19, 2006 / Show Article /

From official release/information:

Philcon was held again at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel (formerly the Wyndham Franklin Plaza), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this year. We hobnobbed with interesting folks, starting with GoH Charles Stross — techie author of gonzo transhuman space opera as well as folks like John Scalzi and Bud Sparhawk. We tired to dance the night away under the milky way...but the DJ had nothing but techno to spin, which is fine...but the occasional slow dance wouldn't have hurt anyone...and we did dress up for the occasion. The SFRevu crew was on hand in the dealer's room with one of our semi-annual used book sales and Gayle Surrette (SFRevu editor) and Ernest Lilley (Uber Editor) were on a number of panels.
