by Roger ZelaznyCover Artist: Michael Whelan Review by Steve Sawicki NESFA Press Hardcover ISBN/ITEM#: 9781886778771 Date: 14 February 2009 List Price $29.00 Amazon US / Amazon UK / Show Article / This is the second volume of the Collected Stories of Roger Zelazny put out by NESFA. You should support this effort if for no other reason than that it would allow them to do other collected series by other authors. No need to be that altruistic though. You should buy this series because it is, quite simply, a masterful effort that will delight, amaze, shock and bring you back to those (or create them for you anew) aha moments that you all long for. From official release/information: Product Description: The second in a six-volume series, Volume 2: Power & Light covers the mid 1960s, Zelazny's most prolific period, where he continued to incorporate mainstream literary qualities and added a wealth of mythological elements into powerful stories such as "The Furies," "For a Breath I Tarry," "This Moment of the Storm," "Comes Now the Power," "Auto-Da-Fé," and the Hugo-winning novel ...And Call Me Conrad. The stories in this series are enriched by editors' notes and Zelazny's own words, taken from his many essays, describing why he wrote the stories and what he thought about them in retrospect.
